Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! I hope you like the ideas that I plan to share. I am very excited! I don't know how often I will post being so busy with 3 little ones and all. But, I will post new and old ideas whenever I get the chance. I'd love to hear your comments and be in community with other moms!

2 Timothy 1:5

I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.

I love this verse for so many reasons. I love how faith is passed down from one mom to another. I love how others are aware of this faith being passed down! I desire to pass my faith down to my daughter and when she is a mom to her daughter, etc, and for others to be blessed by our faith. I also desire to pass along encouragement and faith to other moms today in hope that you will pass down your faith to your daughters, and them to their daughters. :)

About Me

I have been happily married to my husband John for 12 years. We have 3 children--two boys, ages 7 and 5, and my baby girl, age 3. I graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy and then from Wheaton College with a master's degree in Educational Ministries. I am a stay-at-home mom who enjoys spending time with my family and playing with my kids. When I can find the time, I train for triathlons, write this blog, scrapbook, and of course, date my husband. :)

Why I Am Writing This Blog

Of course, God made me do it! Ha! I don't consider myself a writer, but I do love the Lord and try to be sensitive to His leading. I began sensing a call to reach out to and encourage other moms. I also know there are some moms out there who struggle to get out of the house and connect with other moms. Therefore, I thought a web-site might be a good way to build community with other moms when you just can't get away or make your schedules match up--a number one problem with me and my friends. We are just so busy with our kids, of course! We love our kids! But, sometimes we need to be encouraged and know that we are not alone in our struggles. I know being a mom is very challenging most days, but I also know God is good and gives us much hope. So, I hope and pray that you find encouragement and new friends as you read along. Myself, and any mom that may join me, desire to just share our journeys and ideas with you. May God bless you richly as you continue in one of your most important roles He has given you--raising His beautiful children. :)
